Next thursday, 24th of June, 2010, we will celebrate End of Term Gala of my dance studio "Studio Rábida9". My pupils will dance (ghawazee folk, Bedouin folk, Saidi with cane, shaabi, oriental, veils) as well as other onubenses dancers that I'm inviting: Luichi Macías will perform an arabian-flamenco, Mariah an Oriental, Alaly Isis wings, and Inés a modern Baladi. I will dance some of the pieces with my pupils and a sword solo with live music.
It will take place at "La Morana" neighbourhood center (Adoratrices zone, Huelva). The show will start at 09:00 pm but there will be before a reception with wellcome drink and bellydance costume shop. You all are invited, entrance is free.
Saturday, 19th of June in Seville. Neferet ( http://www.neferet-danza.com ) organizes the End of Term of her studio "Oriente Urbano". Teachers and pupils of the studio will participate: Tribal-Andalus co., Neferet, Maytz, Mar Clavijo, Hala y Helena Hayat. Neferet invites me to dance and I will perform a sword piece. Thete will be party, bar, and bellydance clothes shop. Free entrance, at the Artisans Patio where "Oriente Urbano" is, at 52, Castellar St. Since 08:00 pm.
Last 11th to 13th of June, Helena Rull (Granada, http://www.helena-danzaoriental.com ) organized in Seville an Oriental Dance Festival with the American dancer Sadie ( http://www.bedouinprincess.com ). The friday there was a gala in the theatre of Santa Ana School (Seville, "Los Remedios" district) where I danced together with Neferet and Helena Hayat a folkloric piece choreographied by Bárbara Barretto. Sadie danced too, as well as Helena Rull, Raks al Hilal, Aljaradanza, Nureen, Lili, Manuela Caballero, Mar Clavijo, Mhijea, Hala, Beatriz Crespo.
The workshops with Sadie were saturday and sunday, mainly Tabla Solo lessons. I had the oportunity of 
knowing Sadie and I was her "tourist guide" by the Historic Center of Seville. She turned out to be a lovely person, very modest and unassuming.
Next 15th of May, 2010, I will dance in the "3rd Belly Dance Festival of Cádiz" ( http://naimabakkali.wordpress.com/iii-festival-de-danza-del-vientre-cadiz-2010-ala-authar-el-aud/ ), where the organizer, Naima Bakkali ( http://www.naimabakkali.com ) has invited me.
Munique Neith (Brazil - Barcelona), Anisa Saghira (Valladolid), Helena Rull (Granada), Al-Kamra Company (Fuengirola, Málaga) and Victoria Ivanova (Rusia) are taking part in the festival.
Youssef participated in the "4th International Festival of Oriental Dance in the 'Costa del Sol'", invited by Victoria Ivanova ( http://www.victoriaivanova.com ), the organizer of the event.
This year the theme of the festival was the "Belle Epoque", the end of the 19th century and begining of the 20th, when the Orientalist trend had an influence on westerner vaudeville artists (Bella Otero, Mata Hari, Tórtola Valencia), creating a fictitious view of eastern artists, that came to influence Middle Eastern performances and artists (Opera Casino, Badia Masabni, Samia Gamal, Tahia Carioca).
Youssef together with Luichi Macías danced in the national gala (http://www.victoriaivanova.com/html/galanacional10.html ) the 2010/04/23rd, playing an scene with theatrical touches, humor, and folkloric oriental dance.
Premier artists such as Amir Thaleb (Argentina), Virginia Méndez (USA), Zaza Hassan (Egypt) and Helena Rull (Granada, España http://helenadanzaoriental.blogspot.com) came to the festival.
